PEER RECOVERY SERVICES
Peer Mentoring Program
The Peer Mentoring Program provides one-on-one recovery support from Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS) — individuals with lived experience of substance use and recovery. Mentors offer emotional encouragement, practical guidance, and ongoing check-ins to help clients move toward stability and independence.
This is a free service available to anyone actively working on their recovery journey.

Peer Mentoring Program FAQ
Is this therapy?
No. Peer mentoring is not therapy or clinical treatment. It’s support from someone who has lived through recovery and is trained to guide others through it.
How often will I meet with my mentor?
That depends on your needs. Most clients meet with their mentor once or twice per week. Sessions can be short check-ins or longer, more focused meetings.
What can I talk about with my mentor?
Anything related to your recovery, goals, or life challenges. This might include sobriety, mental health, housing, family, legal issues, or just how your day is going.
Do I have to be sober to join this program?
No. We support all pathways and stages of recovery — including harm reduction. Whether you’re sober, trying to reduce use, or just thinking about change, you’re welcome here.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Everything you share with your mentor is confidential unless there’s a concern for your safety or someone else’s — just like in any ethical recovery setting.
Is this a clinical service?
No — it’s peer-based support. Mentors are certified, trained, and supervised but not therapists or case managers.
Can I get help with housing or jobs through my mentor?
Yes — mentors help with both directly and connect you to the right resources if needed.
